Lyddon Terrace Power Supply (Highway Works)

Due to the replacement of the failed electrical supply cables to both Lyddon Hall and Cromer Terrace Gym emergency highway closure and works will be required on 9 January – 27 January.

Effects of this interruption

9 – 13 January – Groundworks in the public highway outside Cromer Terrace gym to be undertaken however no road closures during this period.

16 – 27 January – Cable pull of new electrical cables resulting in a full road closure of the bottom half of Cromer Terrace (outside of the Charles Morris/Storm Jameson Court accommodation block) resulting in temporary diversions as agreed with Leeds City Council highways department.

30 January – Completion of external works with traffic management/diversions removed and normal access resumed.

Services to be interrupted

During the works there will be contractors working in the highway in addition to a full road closure with diversions causing a change in access routes in and around the Bright Beginnings Childcare Centre and various residential and University of Leeds properties.

Effects of this interruption upon building occupants

Presence of contractors working in the public highway in addition to temporary traffic diversions and road closures as per the above information.

Below is an extract from the pre agreed traffic management plan identifying the point of closure and subsequent diversions taking place between the 16 – 27 January.
