The Facilities Management Service Desk is responsible for managing the flow of maintenance issues being reported across the University’s estate.

Please follow the established process for reporting within your faculty of service. However, if you’re the person responsible for the logging of maintenance requests, please select from the following options to report the issue to the Facilities Management Service Desk.
For emergencies, please use our emergency contact numbers.
Emergencies may include; strong smells of gas, overflowing toilets, floods/leaks, trapped in a room/space, ceiling collapse, no heating to an entire building, loss of power to entire building/level and steam leaks.
Raise requests relating to work, bedroom and WC areas, alerting systems, platforms and lifts, and accessible routes.
Raise requests relating to decoration, signage, doors and shutters, windows, flooring, cladding, leaks and floods, lifts, defibrillators, ceilings, bathrooms and kitchens and business critical requests.
Raise requests relating to area cleans, appliances and waste.
Raise requests relating to collections, moving, disposals, banners, events and clocks.
Raise requests relating to drainage.
Raise requests relating to no power, noise and smells of burning, electrical supply, lighting and electrical vehicles.
Raise requests relating to gas leaks, major floods, power outages and electric shock.
Raise requests relating to compressors, appliances, fume cupboards, and tea and zip water boilers.
Raise requests relating to external signage, paths and roadways, tree work, pond issues, business critical requests, electrical vehicles, lighting, water fountains, drainage, and street furniture.
Raise requests relating to extinguishers, blankets, risers, and fire alarms
Raise requests relating to boilers, gas meters, heating, comfort cooling, chillers, business critical requests, process cooling, critical control, and ventilation.
Raise requests relating to electronic and mechanical locks and keys.
Raise requests relating to pest removal and proofing.
Raise requests relating to water supply and pipework, toilet and urinals, showers and basins, eye wash stations and water fountains.
Requests for any proactive refurbishment/remodelling works or any works that require design input.
Raise requests relating to CCTV, security devices, cycle stores, external gates, and business critical requests.

I reported a job earlier, when will an engineer be here?
A Service Level Agreement (SLA) has been agreed for various faults across campus. The length of time it takes for an engineer to visit depends on the nature of the job. However, we will get an engineer out to assess your fault as soon as possible.

Where can I park on campus?
The University of Leeds has a multi-storey car park which can be used by visitors if booked via a member of staff. More details can be found on the Visitor Parking page.

When does the heating get switched on/off?
The heating is generally switched off when the students leave at the end of the academic year. The heating will usually get switched on again around October. However, this is subject to change depending on the weather.
