Electricity supply switch off at University residences

The electricity supply will be switched off at a number of University residences while new electricity meters are installed on dates between Monday 4th March and Friday 8th March. Supply will be switched off from 9am to 5pm on days work is scheduled to take place.

The affected buildings and scheduled dates of disruption are listed below:

  • Lupton Residences (Blocks A-P & Site Office/Laundry Room) – Monday 4th March and Tuesday 5th March
  • Montague Burton Residences (Blocks A-N, Laundry Room & Wardens Flat) – Tuesday 5th March and Wednesday 6th Marc
  • Grosvenor Court – Friday 8th March
  • The Coach House (Devonshire Hall) – Friday 8th March
  • North Lawn (Devonshire Hall) – Friday 8th March
  • 8 North Hill Road – Friday 8th March
  • 10 North Hill Road – Friday 8th March
  • 12 North Hill Road – Friday 8th March

Reason for works/service interruption

Installation of new electricity meter.

Effects of this interruption upon building occupants

Loss of electrical power.
