Last updated on 14 August 2023

On Wednesday 26 July at 6am there will be a two hour electrical shutdown which may impact a number of buildings connected to the Clarendon Building LV Substation.

Buildings due to be impacted:

  • 0192 Michael Marks Building
  • 0172 Charles Thackrah Building
  • 0173 Clarendon Building
  • 0176 Maurice Keyworth Building
  • 0178 St Wilfred’s Chapel

Services to be interrupted

Power will be isolated for circa 2hr maximum whilst the contractor completes essential metering works, alongside the annual LV maintenance within the substation.

Effects of this interruption

During this period there will be loss of power and lighting to the buildings. It is recommended that all building occupants ensure any equipment is operational once energised, as this may have tripped during the shutdown. Any issues post shutdown can be reported via the Estates helpdesk.
