EC Stoner Level 9 commuter lounge

Brief
Commuter students will soon be able to enjoy their own dedicated space catered specifically to their needs in EC Stoner.
The new commuter lounge on Level 9 will be a space where students who travel from home can relax, eat and study.
The work is part of Estates’ £32 million Campus Improvement Programme, which is focused on revitalising key spaces across campus for students.
The refurbishment will include a new kitchen and furniture to create a welcoming and warm space that can be used in addition existing University facilities.

Morgan Sindall have been appointed by the University to undertake the work.
Work will begin in early 2025 and is expected to complete in late 2025. Some of the projects are subject to planning permission.
As part of its delivery of the project, Morgan Sindall will deliver a social value plan that will ensure the project benefits the wider Leeds community.
