Brief
Get ready for a brand-new student hub along the Red Route, providing new space for collaborating, studying and socialising.
The disused La Dolce Vita coffee shop is being transformed into a vibrant and welcoming area, which will include the installation of a new learning pod to maximise study space.
The work is part of Estates’ £32 million Campus Improvement Programme – a major investment focusing on making our campus better for our students.
New kitchen facilities are also being installed to create a space that will help to provide an upgraded student experience.

Morgan Sindall have been appointed by the University to undertake the work.
Work will begin in early 2025 and is expected to complete in late 2025. Some of the projects are subject to planning permission.
As part of its delivery of the project, Morgan Sindall will deliver a social value plan that will ensure the project benefits the wider Leeds community.
