Michael Sadler entrance
- Work begins : Summer 2025
- Work due to be completed: Autumn 2025
Brief
Estates are undertaking a full refurbishment of the entrance to the Michael Sadler Building, creating a bright, friendly and welcoming environment for everyone.
A raft of improvements will make sure that the space beyond the front doors leaves a lasting positive first impression on current and prospective students.
It’s being refurbished as part of the Campus Improvement Programme – a £32 million Estates-led programme creating an upgraded campus experience for students by revitalising key spaces.
The refreshed entrance will see the creation of a new meeting point for students next to the front staircase.
Wellbeing is central to the design of the new space, which will be lighter and closely connected to nature through the additions of new plants and shrubbery.
