Cemetery Lodge refurbishment

Brief:
A full refurbishment to create a better-equipped and more welcoming prayer and study space for our Muslim community.
The new space will be twice the size of the previous facility.
Contractors: Bluewire is providing the mechanical and engineering upgrades.

The infrastructure work includes new electric heating in line with the University’s net zero ambitions and a full plumbing refit to improve ablution provision.
The new space will be fully accessible and also contains an outside courtyard.
While this work continues, there are temporary prayer cabins next to the site.
