Security Reception Refurbishment

  • Work begins: June 2026
  • Work due to be completed: November 2026

Brief

The Security Reception Refurbishment project forms the first phase of a programme to enhance safety on campus and improve access to the Security Service team.

Included in these works is a redesign and expansion of the drop-in reception and the control room at the Security Service’s current reception at 175 Woodhouse Lane.

This new reception has been developed as part of a wider programme of works including a new campus wide CCTV network and measures to control vehicular access onto campus.

This work is due to take a year, with a temporary cabin in place at the rear of Laidlaw Library on Hillary Place to meet Security officers in person until the works are complete.
