Although the car park has led to the removal of around 50 trees, the overriding aim is to have a net-positive impact on campus biodiversity. This will include replacing lost trees and improving other campus habitats. The building and surrounding landscaping will also include a green wall, native hedgerows and an increase in pollinating plants.
