A £1.6m investment delivered a dynamic programme to upgrade academic and teaching led research space.
This now enables increased research activity, excellent student education and experiences, and ensures we maintain our position of attracting world-class research and education leaders at the same time as retaining, developing and growing existing talent.

The 17-month refurbishment programme creates a dynamic and rich learning environment for students and staff.
Expansion and improvements are seen throughout, including PhD facilities, student education services and clinical facilities.
Exceptional first class PhD facilities have been relocated and expanded within the heart of the School, along with the refurbishment of and cosmetic improvements to current facilities fit for the world’s best students and generating a vibrant research environment, allowing an innovative research community to flourish.
A new central hub for the Student Education Service brings together all services and provides the best opportunity to offer easy to access, consistent and seamless high quality services to students.
The expansion of clinical facilities enables students to gain enhanced training experiences and outcomes through improved facilities and technology. This first class teaching experience provides students with valuable clinical skills experience.
New facilities allows the School of Healthcare to intensify research into practice and strengthen educational links with our main partner Leeds Trust Teaching Hospital and other collaborators.
